The Principality of Liechtenstein is a small independent principality, located between Austria and Switzerland, the border with Switzerland is marked by the course of the River Rhine. Liechtenstein is formed to the west by a part of flat territory, and to the east by an area with mountains rising up to Mount Grauspitz (2,599 meters). The official language of Liechtenstein is the German language. The Vaduz Christmas Market is the most beautiful in the principality.

Vaduz is the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, one of the smallest states in the world, a nation nestled in the Alps, and positioned between Switzerland and Austria. Vaduz, which has medieval origins, is dominated by the beautiful Vaduz Castle (Schloss Vaduz), seat of the ruling Liechtenstein family. Other interesting buildings in the town are the medieval house Rote Haus, the neo-Gothic cathedral (Kathedrale St. Florin), the government building (Regierungsgebäude) and the town hall (Rathaus).

VADUZ CHRISTMAS MARKET

Vaduz Christmas Market (Vaduz Weihnachtsmarkt). The market takes place in the Rathausplatz in the historic pedestrian center of the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, made up of about 100 wooden houses, the market is one of the largest in the area. There are decorated stalls displaying classic Christmas decorations, candles, handmade art and crafts, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and Christmas cookies. On the occasion of the market, usually, the shops are also open on Sundays.
