Ulm Christmas Market

The city of Ulm, located along the banks of the Danube, hosts in the square of the cathedral of Ulm (Münsterplatz), a Lutheran church with the tallest stone bell tower in the world that exceeds 161 meters in height, a romantic Christmas market. The Advent weeks are not only represented by the Ulm Christmas Market, but also by Christmas concerts and shows, concerts and choirs dedicated to Christmas are held in the cathedral every afternoon. For children, Santa’s sleigh pulled by horses, carousels, the sheep stable and the crib. The shops in the city are lit up and festively decorated.

Ulm Christmas Market (Ulmer Weihnachtsmarkt). The market takes place in the cathedral square and hosts over 130 chalets and wooden stalls full of local handicrafts, toys and German gastronomic specialities. For children, there is also a large fairy tale tent in the square where the best known and most famous fairy tales of Germany will be read and told. In the glassworks, the craftsmen will illustrate how glass is blown, creating wonderful art objects. A nativity scene with live animals will make families with children happy, and there will also be some steam trains to delight the children. Every day, Christmas music and carols will delight visitors to the Christmas market.
