Toulon is the third largest city – after Marseille and Nice – in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. A large port on the Mediterranean Sea, it is the main port of call for ferries connecting France to Corsica, and is the most important French military port. Among the things to do for those visiting Toulon there is undoubtedly a boat tour in the harbor, a visit to the National Marine Museum is also interesting with a rich collection of ship models and antique prints.

TOULON CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Toulon Christmas Market (Marché de Noël). The market takes place in Place de la Liberté, you will have the opportunity to buy handcrafted items such as the typical Provençal santons, or to taste the specialties of the southern French cuisine.

2) La Garde Christmas Market (Village de Noël, Hivernales). In La Garde, a suburb located on the eastern outskirts of Toulon, which in the Middle Ages was a fief castle of the bishops of Toulon, the Hivernales event takes place during the Advent and Christmas holidays, which has its strong point in the large Christmas market (Village de Noël) made up of over 100 wooden chalets which occupy the streets of the city center and which offer handicraft products, including the typical Provençal santons, and local gastronomy.
