SWITZERLAND: DOCUMENTS

If you are a European citizen, to visit Switzerland you only need a personal identity card valid for expatriation or a personal passport. Children and minors must have their own passport / identity card. For citizens of other nationalities a visa may sometimes be required.

Driving license: To drive in Switzerland you must have a national driving license.

Car insurance: European insurance is valid for Switzerland.

SWITZERLAND: HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Healthcare in Switzerland is excellent. To receive free medical treatment for Swiss citizens, European citizens must present the European Health Insurance Card. Private health care is paid. It is advisable to take out additional travel and health insurance, with a cost of a few tens of euros you will have the security and tranquility to face any problems during the trip.
