Speyer Christmas Market

Speyer is a town in the Rhineland-Palatinate, located along the Rhine river, founded by the Romans with the name of Noviomagus, it became very important in the Middle Ages. Speyer is home to one of the most important Romanesque cathedrals of the Holy Roman Empire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dating back to the 11th century, the cathedral was for over 300 years the burial place of the German emperors of the Holy Roman Empire .

SPEYER CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Christmas Market (Speyerer Weihnachtsmarkt, Weihnachts- und Neujahrsmarkt). The Speyer Christmas Market is usually held in the central street of the town and hosts many stalls dedicated to German gastronomy, traditional Christmas objects and the many handicrafts typical of the region. For children, usually every afternoon there is a nice children’s pastry shop.
