Kaysersberg is a small town in Alsace located a few kilometers northwest of Colmar, with a population of less than 3,000 inhabitants, the town of medieval origins is called the “ville fleurie” and is one of the small pearls of Alsace. Kaysersberg, located on the Alsace wine route, is a typical fortified medieval village, largely surrounded by a 13th-century wall. The village is dominated by the remains of a beautiful fortress, the Schlossberg, built in the mid-13th century. The Kaysersberg Christmas Market is the most important annual event in this small village in Alsace.

KAYSERSBERG CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Kaysersberg Christmas Market (Marché de Noël authentique). The town of Kaysersberg usually hosts a small Christmas market in the illuminated historic center of the town, in a magical setting, with local handicrafts such as floral art, ceramics, blown glass and numerous Alsatian gastronomic specialities. The market takes place in the courtyard of the Arsenal (between the Tourist Office and the Sainte-Croix church) and behind the Sainte-Croix church. The Village Christmas Market (Marché Paysan de Noël) takes place in the town hall square (Place de la Mairie) where the producers and farmers of the area offer their products, including honey, jams, cheeses, cold cuts and cured meat.
