Hradec Králové is a historic Bohemian city located east of Prague towards the Polish border and along the Elbe River.
The city is made up of two interesting architectural sections, the old city (Staré Město) and the new city (Nové Město), the old city is characterized by medieval and Renaissance palaces while the new city is a collection of art nouveau and functionalist buildings.

1) Hradec Králové Christmas Market (Vánoční trhy Hradec Králové). Set in Masarykovo náměstí square, the lively market of this Czech town usually has over 100 stalls offering products and objects of folk art, among these you will find toys, ceramic objects, jewellery, candles, natural cork products, handmade soap, books, cut stones, hats, furs, bags, scarves, gloves, wool products, glass objects, candlesticks, Christmas ornaments and decorations. The gastronomic offer is usually very rich, with local delicacies such as spit-roasted pork, dairy specialties, sausages, and salami, sweets, gingerbread and mulled wine. On the weekends, the cultural program is very substantial, which usually features artists of different musical genres.
