Hamburg Christmas Markets

The city of Hamburg is the main German port, and after the capital Berlin, it is also the most important city in Germany, it is a modern and vibrant city, with interesting architecture and full of attractions. The Hamburg Christmas Markets (Weihnachtsmärkte in Hamburg) are a total of seven, the most important is the Historic Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmärkte auf dem Rathausmarkt) which takes place in the Town Hall Square (Rathausmarkt) which features numerous wooden chalets with products Christmas markets and many attractions and games for children. Other important Christmas markets are those held in Fleetinsel, in Piazza Gänsemarkt, in Spitalerstraße, in Petri-Kirche, in Jungfernstieg and in Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz. On the outskirts of the city there are five other markets, interesting are the traditional Christmas markets of Bergedorf and Harburg.

HAMBURG CHRISTMAS MARKETS (Hamburg)

City Center Christmas Markets:

1) Historic Christmas Market and Town Hall Market (Historischer Weihnachtsmarkt auf dem Rathausmarkt). Usually every day at 16.00, 18.00 and 20.00 you can see flying Santa Claus (fliegende Weihnachtsmann) above the Hamburg Town Hall (Hamburger Rathaus). While the Christmas Parade (Hamburger Weihnachtsparade) usually takes place every Saturday in Advent at 13.00 and 17.00.

2) Fleetinsel Christmas Market (Fleetinsel Weihnachtsmarkt).

3) Jungfernstieg Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmärkte am Jungfernstieg).

4) Petri-Kirche Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmärkte an der Petri-Kirche).

5) Mönckebergstraße Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmärkte um die Mönckebergstraße – Spitalerstraße).

6) Gänsemarkt Hanseatic Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmärkte auf dem Gänsemarkt).

1) Santa Pauli Christmas Market (Santa Pauli – Weihnachten auf dem Kiez).

2) Ottensen Christmas Market (Ottensen Weihnachtsmärkte).

3) HafenCity Christmas Market (HafenCity Weihnachtsmarkt im Überseequartier).
