Dinkelsbühl is a historic city in Bavaria, located almost halfway between Nuremberg and Stuttgart. Built in the Middle Ages as a fortified place, it still retains its fortified walls and numerous towers. Dinkelsbühl has a beautiful historic center, with numerous valuable buildings, the appearance of this town is typical of a German city of the XV-XVI century. Dinkelsbühl is, together with Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Nördlingen, one of the three German cities that still retain their walls intact. Dinkelsbühl Cathedral (Münster St. Georg) is a masterpiece of German Gothic art from the 15th century.

DINKELSBÜHL CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Christmas Market (Dinkelsbühler Weihnachtsmarkt). The Dinkelsbühl Christmas Market offers its visitors ceramic gift items, wooden toys, aromatic herbs, Christmas decorations. Also very interesting is the Kunstbasar (Bazar of Arts) where the artisans show the typical processes and products of the region. For children, a great attraction is represented by the large-scale model of a railway with tracks and trains whizzing by for their entertainment. In the cathedral, on the other hand, a large nativity scene is set up which represents the city of Dinkelsbühl in miniature.

2) Christmas Village in Dinkelsbühl (Weihnachtshof im Haus der Geschichte). The market continues even after Christmas in the courtyard of the Haus der Geschichte. Here is a small Christmas village with mulled wine and local specialities.
