Small historic town in Rhineland-Palatinate, located in a bend along the course of the Moselle, in a beautiful landscape of vineyards and woods, the town is dominated by the historic fortress of the Reichsburg, a spectacular imperial castle dating back to the 12th century.
The historic center of Cochem is a succession of suggestive alleys, streets and small squares overlooked by beautiful wooden half-timbered houses, the Baroque-style town hall which overlooks the market square is very beautiful, part of the town is still surrounded by the remains of the medieval walls on which three doors open.

The market made of artistically decorated wooden houses characterizes the streets of this beautiful and historic town in the Moselle valley during Advent, you can taste mulled wine and the excellent locally produced wine, or satiate yourself with the excellent local foods and of course buy gifts from local artisans and traders, who display all kinds of Christmas gifts on their stalls. Christmas carols resound in the town and numerous concerts are organized there, with special attention being paid to children, to whom a special program is dedicated.
