The historic center is very charming with medieval buildings and other successive styles, to visit the church of San Vito (Kostel Sv. Víta) with, inside, interesting frescoes. The city is close to the Bohemian Forest National Park (Národní park Šumava) where you can admire peat bogs, alpine meadows, centuries-old forests, lakes and rivers. Just ten kilometers from Cesky Krumlov is one of the oldest monasteries in Bohemia, the Zlatá Koruna monastery. While about 30 km away is the Hluboka castle, dating back to the 12th century.
