Wurzburg Christmas Market

Würzburg is an interesting German city in northern Bavaria, located between Nuremberg and Frankfurt, full of many tourist attractions, the city is the terminal point of the Romantische Strasse one of the most beautiful tourist roads in Germany, which crosses a large part of Bavaria. The Würzburg Christmas Market is made up of over 100 typical wooden houses. The best-known building in the city is the Würzburger Residenz, a majestic Baroque palace built in the 18th century, surrounded by beautiful gardens, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. The great fortress of Marienberg which dominates the city is also very beautiful. The Würzburg Christmas market is made up of two distinct markets, one market takes place in the Marktplatz while the other takes place in the Marienberg Fortress.

WÜRZBURG CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Würzburg Christmas Market (Würzburger Weihnachtsmarkt). Housed in the Marktplatz, the Würzburg market is characterized by the presence of numerous wooden houses that display and sell table products and Franconian wines. For children, in addition to games, rides and sweets, even the Santa Claus tram (St. Nikolaus). During the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) the market is enriched by the Market of Artists who exhibit their original works.
