Obernai Christmas Market

In this small historic Alsace town, located 25 km southwest of Strasbourg, in an important agricultural area producing wine and beer, and full of historic buildings, Christmas is a very heartfelt celebration. The town presents itself to visitors full of Christmas lights and festoons. The Obernai Christmas market is the most important Christmas event in this small Alsace village. Obernai is a small town at the foot of the Vosges mountains and its historic part is still partly surrounded by walls and maintains a typically medieval atmosphere that is well suited to the Christmas market.

OBERNAI CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Obernai Christmas Market (Marché de Noël de la Gastronomie et de l’Artisanat). The Obernai Christmas Market which is usually held in the historic center of this Alsatian town is dedicated to gastronomy and crafts. The Obernai market usually presents a large variety of typical products of Alsatian gastronomy such as foie gras, choucroutier, cheeses, chocolate, wines and beers. In the stalls and chalets of the market there are also many proposals presented by local artisans.
