Belfast Christmas Market

Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and the second city of the island. Belfast is an important industrial, artistic, academic and commercial center and is the most important economic area of Northern Ireland. The city is famous for its murals that reflect the political and religious affiliation of the two communities: Catholic and Protestant. Belfast Christmas Market takes place to the grounds of the Belfast City Hall – the civic building of Belfast City Council – with extra stalls being added in Donegall Square North to showcase more local food and drink and unique crafts. The Christmas Market in Belfast is a popular event of the Irish Christmas, this is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the city. The market is a unique mix of shopping, culture, entertainment and nightlife. The Christmas market is made up of a festive village of over 90 wooden chalets. During your visit to the market you can visit the famous Santa’s Grotto.

You will find a wide selection of products including: crepes from France, Dutch pancakes, Belgian chocolates, a selection of exotic meats such as ostrich and crocodile, bratwurst, Spanish paella and torrone (nougat) from Italy.
