During the period of Christmas the city of Brussels organizes the event “Plaisirs d’Hiver” that in addition to the famous Christmas market attracts tourists for the many related events that are organized, you will find between these events musical events and concerts, street performers, a long track rink, processions and parades. The Christmas market in Brussels is the most important event in the city during the Christmas period.

1) Christmas Market (Marché de Noël – Plaisirs d’Hiver). The Christmas market in Brussels is made up of over 250 stands around the beautiful Grand-Place of Brussels, the Bourse, the Place Sainte-Catherine and the fish market. In the stands you will find many gift ideas and proposals from the rich local cuisine.

The wonderful Grand-Place in Brussels is a spectacle of Christmas lights, the square is lit up like a giant Christmas tree, and is home to a giant Christmas tree with light animations that make the whole Grand-Place particularly beautiful. Usually there is also a giant wheel, 55 meters high, from which you can admire the spectacle of Christmas lights which during the Christmas season characterize the city.
