HOW TO GET TO SERBIA: AIRPORTS AND FLIGHTS TO SERBIA
Serbia has two international airports, Belgrade (BEG) and Niš (INI). By far the most important airport is obviously Belgrade, which is located on the western outskirts of the Serbian capital. Flights from major European cities and some Middle Eastern countries land at this airport. The Serbian flag carrier is Air Serbia formerly known as Jat Airways. Among the airlines that have more frequent connections with the country there are: the Serbian flag company Air Serbia, Alitalia, Wizz Air, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, LOT, Etihad Airways, Austrian Airlines , etc. The airplane is the fastest way to get to the country.
HOW TO GET TO SERBIA: TRAINS FOR SERBIA
The Serbian railways extend over a 3,800 km network. The country is connected by railways with almost all neighboring countries.
International Transport: There are numerous international lines that connect the country to the rest of Europe. In addition to Belgrade, international connections normally stop in Novi Sad and Subotica for destinations to the north and west, and in Nis for those to the east.
Internal Transport: Jugoslovenske Železnice (JŽ) manages the railway service network which from Belgrade connects Novi Sad, Subotica and Niš. There are four classes of trains: ekspresni (espresso), poslovni (rapid), brzi (fast) and putnicki (slow).
BUSES
There are numerous bus connections with other European countries. Among the companies also Lasta (Eurolines) and Flixbus have connections for most of Europe as well as intercity connections for all the states of the former Yugoslavia.
