LATVIA DOCUMENTS
Documents: To enter Latvia, the citizen of the European Union must have a passport or identity card valid for travel abroad. Children and minors must have their own passport / identity card. A passport is required for citizens of other countries. Citizens of some countries may be required to apply for a visa.
Driving license: To drive in Latvia you need to have your own national driving license.
Auto Insurance: To enter Latvia with your car you must have a valid european insurance.

LATVIA HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Healthcare: Healthcare is good. The citizen of the European Union to receive public health care must present the European Health Card. As with any trip abroad, it is advisable to take out travel and health insurance that covers all medical costs before departure.
Vaccinations: No vaccinations are required.

Mobile phones: Latvia is served by a standard GSM 900 and GSM 1800 mobile network. Arriving in Latvia most foreign mobile phones will automatically connect to one of the local networks. The signal coverage is excellent.
Mobile operators: Latvijas Mobilais Telefons, Tele2, Triatel, BITE Latvija, ZetCOM.
Internet: Internet Points are very common in all cities of Latvia. Many hotels have free internet access for their customers. In some places, such as cafes, hotels, conference centers, there are wireless internet connections.

Electricity: 220 volts, 50 Hz.

Banks and Currency: The currency of Latvia is the Euro (EUR) which has replaced the Lats (LVL) since 1 January 2014.
Bank Opening Hours: Banks in Latvia are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00 (or 18.00).
