CUBA DOCUMENTS
Documents: To enter Cuba you need to present your passport with a residual validity of at least three months upon arrival in the country. Even children and minors need their own passport.
Visa: Required. The visa is obtained by applying at the Cuban consular offices in your country. The visa is valid for thirty days, renewable for an additional 30 days.

CUBA HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Healthcare: Cuban health facilities are quite lacking and not at European or American level. Before leaving, it is mandatory to take out health insurance that covers all medical expenses. Health and travel insurance costs only a few tens of euros / dollars and are always a good thing to do before a trip.
Vaccinations: No vaccinations are required.
CUBA MOBILE PHONES AND INTERNET
Telephones: The international dialing code for Cuba is 0053.
Cell Phones: The local cellular network has limited coverage to some provinces of the island. In Cuba, European GSM mobile phones can be used.
Mobile operators: Empresa de Telecommunicaciones de Cuba.
Internet: Major hotels have paid Internet connections. There are few internet cafes in the main cities.
CUBA POWER PLUGS AND ELECTRIC SOCKETS
Electricity: The electric current is 110 Volts 60 Hz.
Electrical outlets: The power plugs and sockets used in Cuba are type A and B. They are the same type of power plugs and sockets used in the United States of America. You must bring an Universal Travel Adapter with you.
CUBA CURRENCY AND BANKS
Currency: Cuban Peso (CUP).
Banks: Better to change the Euro than the US Dollars, the latter subject to a 10% exchange rate tax. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) are accepted in most hotels.
Banks are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 15.00.
