COSTA RICA DOCUMENTS
Documents: The passport is the document necessary to enter Costa Rica, it must be valid for at least six months from the date of departure. Even children and minors need their own passport.
Visa: Not necessary for tourist stays of less than three months. You must be in possession of the return flight ticket.

COSTA RICA HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Healthcare: Public health facilities in Costa Rica are poor, private ones are good. As in all trips abroad before the trip, it is recommended to take out health insurance that includes coverage for all medical expenses. A travel insurance of this kind has negligible costs (on average between 50 and 100 euros per person) and allows the coverage of the medical costs that you will have to bear, also often they include baggage insurance and the refund of airline ticket expenses in the event of missed departure.
Vaccinations: No vaccinations are required to enter Costa Rica.
COSTA RICA MOBILE PHONES AND INTERNET
Telephones: The international dialing code for Costa Rica is 00506.
Mobile Phones: The mobile network technologies used in Costa Rica are: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA.
Mobile operators: Kölbi, Movistar, Tuyo Móvil, Claro, Fullmóvil.
Internet: Many hotels have paid or free Internet connections. There are many Internet cafes in every city in the country.
COSTA RICA POWER PLUGS AND ELECTRIC SOCKETS
Electricity: The electric current is 120 Volts 60 Hz.
Electrical outlets: The power plugs and sockets used in Costa Rica are type A and B. They are the same type of power plugs and sockets used in the United States of America. You must bring an Universal Travel Adapter with you.
COSTA RICA CURRENCY AND BANKS
Currency: Colón of Costa Rica (CRC), divided into 100 centimos.
Banks: Banks are open from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00.
